Synopsis
The tornado phenomenon concerns a specific region of the North American continent that extends from Texas to Dakota, the "Tornado Alley." This area has now developed a veritable tourist trade related to tornadoes, filling hotels, restaurants and shops. Many tour operators now offer one or two week "tornado tours”. Oklahoma City has a storm prediction centre, a research institute, schools and specialized courses. Every spring, the area is the meeting place for tornado hunters from the U.S., Canada and Europe, where everyone is hurrying to capture the most beautiful photo or shoot the most beautiful film sequence. We accompanied some of them: Italians, Americans, Germans, Swiss and French.
